Software Developer - PHP, MySQL etc 11 March 2008
We have a number of interesting software development projects starting soon, and we're looking to recruit a programmer to join our team. We're looking to recruit someone to start on 25 March 2008, or as soon as possible after that date. Ideally we're looking for someone to work full-time, although part time is also possible. We're based just off St. Clements, not far from Magdalen Bridge and the centre of Oxford.
Experience in programming using PHP / MySQL, knowledge of html / javascript / css, and familiarity with Linux web servers is essential. In addition, knowledge and experience of any of the following would be useful (although not essential) : Smarty, Pear, Subversion, use of one or more Content Management Systems, Wordpress, .net programming (in particular vb.net 2005) for desktop and web applications with SQL Server 2000 / 2005; database design and development using Microsoft Access with VB / c#.
Alberon does work for a wide range of clients. We don’t restrict ourselves to one business sector, which means that each new project is an opportunity to learn about a new business and new area. We’re looking for someone who is able to liaise with clients at various stages of projects. For the right person there is the potential to be involved at all stages of a project, from the initial meetings and the writing of the specification, through the development, testing and implementation, to the day the project goes live. Most of our work is done in our offices, but from time to time there is the need to visit clients on their premises.
Salary depending on experience.
Please send us a CV with examples of projects you have worked on - please make clear what your role was in any sites you worked on with others.
